QUOINE is a crypto/fintech firm headquartered in Tokyo, Japan est. in 2014. This case study features my 3.5 years period with them: re-designs and Brand Identity revamp, internal Product pitches and multiple Product designs, company Design Guidelines and, finally, my work on company’s core Product with my own Design Team.
Custom design font face for the logotype and logo icon (to be used as a website favicon). The brand colors were established early on.
The job was to re-design the Product Landing Page and Trading Web App interface. The goal was to simplify the UI, improve User Experience and display Product features.
At that point what the company has been doing was synonymous to what their Product was providing. Thus, the Landing Page served as an introduction to both.
The very first re-design iteration of QUOINE’s trading platform, known as QUOINEX (former QUOINEXCHANGE).

I designed 198 screens, polished the idea & concept, designed the demos and internal animations, did the copywriting and branding and wrapped all up into
a colorful presentation to pitch the company stakeholders.
These animations are displayed at Spendings screen. Each animation stands for a specific spendings category. The animation plays normally as screen scrolls down, and reversed as screen scrolls up.
A waging app concept. The gameplay is betting against the market trying to guess whether Bitcoin price will go up or down.
Crypto (Bitcoin) loans, credits and scoring. QREDITO was supposed to work with QBANKING, providing a complete suite of crypto-banking services.
The first iteration of company website design featuring Products, Company Updates and Roadmap, Team and Processes.
A one-click Account to sign in to all Products and switch between them.
The final QUOINEXCHANGE Dashboard design introduced simple/advanced Trading Dashboards with Community, News, Ideas sections as well as trader’s performance stats.
Simple Dashboard was heavy on trader education and explaining the Dashboard interface itself.
Advanced Dashboard, on the other hand, was more focused on order types and trading stats.
A fully re-designed QUOINEX Trading Dashboard with On-Boarding, Custom Workspaces, much cleaner UI and more intuitive UX.
A completely new QUOINEX promotional product launch website.
Branding and value proposition for the QUOINE ICO platform. IQON as in “iconic”.
Re-worked post-ICO LIQUID landing page, a successor to QUOINEX.
A new revamp for the Trading Dashboard and the entire QUOINEX UX. First known as QNEX, later adopted the name LIQUID.
The name LIQUID Carbon supposed to reflect the rapid modern change that the crypto market will open itself to with this new QUOINE’s Product.
LIQUID (the fluid change) + Carbon (the highly technological and durable element) = LIQUID Carbon, the new approach to trading.
